Week 8 NFL Parlay Picks: Dolphins, Chiefs Cover Big Numbers

Underdogs went a solid 8-5 ATS in the NFL odds last week, highlighted by the Patriots’ shocking win over the Bills and the Vikings’ upset victory over the 49ers. That said, I like the Dolphins as heavy favorites over New England in the Week 8 odds, so I’m throwing them into a three-leg parlay with two additional favorites.

I’ll also discuss my best same-game parlay for Week 8 featuring the Jaguars as I make my free NFL parlay picks.

Next Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Odds: Is This the End For McCarthy?

The Dallas Cowboys entered the NFL playoffs with the second-best record in the NFC and opened as 7.5-point favorites over the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.

Well, so much for that. The Packers jumped out to a 27-0 lead and never really looked back en route to a 48-32 victory. It was the first time in NFL history that a No. 7 seed had beaten a No. 2 seed. All in a day’s work.

That it came on Dallas’ home turf only adds insult to injury. Will it be enough for Jerry Jones to pull the trigger and dump head coach Mike McCarthy after three winning seasons in four years? The Cowboys haven’t advanced beyond the Divisional Round since winning Super Bowl XXX in 1995, so maybe Jerry will turn to someone who knows a thing or two about winning the big one.

Haaland targets all-round improvements after flying start to new campaign

Erling Haaland is aiming to become a better all-round forward in the 2024-25 campaign after starting the season with a goal in Manchester City s 2-0 win over Chelsea.

Haaland put City ahead after 18 minutes at Stamford Bridge, taking in Bernardo Silva s pass and bursting between two challenges before clipping a neat finish over Robert Sanchez.

The Norwegian had previously started both of his Premier League campaigns with City by scoring a brace, against West Ham in 2022-23 and Burnley in 2023-24.

He is the sixth player to score his team s first goal in three different Premier League seasons and the second to do so for City, after David Silva (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16).

Across the last three seasons, Haaland has also scored two more Premier League goals i…

Wilson commits to Bournemouth with new deal to 2023

Callum Wilson has signed a new four-year contract to end speculation he could leave Bournemouth.

England striker Wilson had been linked with Chelsea and West Ham, but has now committed his future to the Cherries through to 2023.

And Wilson, who has scored 58 goals in 148 appearances since joining from Coventry City in 2014, feels there is more to come.

We ve improved in all areas since I initially joined the club but there s still a long way to go,  Wilson told Bournemouth s club website.

While Bournemouth may be known as a smaller club, we ve got some really big ambitions here. Everyone is pulling in the same direction towards those targets and goals.

I feel like as an individual, my game is constantly improving here at the club. I want to c…

Watzke: BVB will decide where Hummels will play in 2015/16

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted the club are in position to decide where Mats Hummels will play his football next season.

The Germany international, who is under contract at Signal Iduna Park until June 2017, has been increasingly linked with a summer move to Manchester United, with the Red Devils reportedly prepared to offer Dortmund €35 million for the World Cup winner.

We have had the situation in Dortmund recently that we have lost one of our top performers every year, Watzke told Bild.

And we still haven t stopped playing football. But to make it clear, Mats Hummels knows the contract situation.

The decision as to where Mats plays next season is of course only down to Borussia Dortmund.

Even if Dor…

Premier League review 02nd January 2013

Shaun Wright-Phillips and Daniel Sturridge were both in the news yesterday.Wright-Phillips for scoring the winner at Chelsea and Sturridge for completing his move to Liverpool

With three Premier League games taking place last night there was always going to be drama.

The biggest drama or shock of the night came at Stamford Bridge, where QPR defeated Chelsea 1-0.

The rock-bottom club arrived at their London neighbours in bad shape and must have feared the worst.

However, through a mixture of resilient defending and lacklustre play from Chelsea the Hoops came out on top. The key moment of the game came in the 16th minute, as QPR star Junior Hoilett picked up what looked like a hamstring injury.

The Canadian was replaced by former-Chelsea winger Sha…

England Under-21s reach Euro 2023 final after brushing aside Israel

England Under-21s breezed into the Euro 2023 final to move to the brink of ending their 39-year drought.

The Young Lions last won the competition in 1984 but eased past Israel 3-0 to reach Saturday’s final, where they will play Spain or Ukraine.

Morgan Gibbs-White – after he missed a penalty – Cole Palmer and Cameron Archer netted to secure a final spot, England’s first since 2009, with Lee Carsley’s side yet to concede in Georgia.

Having already beaten Israel 2-0 in the group stage, the Young Lions were confident with Levi Colwill nodding over Gibbs-White’s early free-kick.

Our are finalists!
